:: About Marina

Marina Mountain, E.R.Y.T. began practicing yoga when she moved to the US from South Africa in 1995. In 2001, she obtained her teaching certification, through the ChiYoga Institute in Phoenix, Arizona. She is also certified as a Relax and Renew teacher through Judith Lasater. Her love of travel and yoga has allowed her to study with many world renowned teachers such as, Eric Schiffman, John Friend (Anusara), Baron Baptiste, (Power), Rodney Yee, Ana Forrest (Forrest Yoga), Gary Kraftsow (Viniyoga), and Tim Miller (Astanga). She believes in taking the best from each discipline to create effective, efficient, nurturing, challenging, transforming yoga classes. She teaches a flow-style blend of Hatha Yoga and Chi Kung (see what is Chi Kung) into her classes, with the emphasis on the breath. Through her classes, she continues to teach her students and herself to embrace the journey of yoga with love, warmth, self acceptance and humor. By doing yoga regularly, the learning process becomes an end itself, rewarding herself and her students, with an abundance of joyful self discovery and new insights.

She conducts a variety of workshops in Phoenix and works with many athletes and coaches. She also teaches de-stressing classes for corporate world, holding lunch time classes and evening classes. Please email to schedule an appointment.

She enjoys the outdoor life and when she is not teaching yoga, she learns much about life from her three teenagers, a son and 2 daughters!
